The Great British Weather - Come On, Give Us A Break!

This weather is not helping us with our busy servicing schedule - trying to dodge raindrops and freezing temperatures would be top on Mark and Craig's job description at the moment. Despite this, the boys have been out and about getting customer's outboards de-winterized and serviced ready for the coming summer season. The workshop diary is busy this week with the full range of outboards including a Yamaha F100hp, Suzuki DF115hp, Mercury Optimax 150hp and a Mercury Verado 300hp, to name but a few. We have had the pleasure of a visit from a pair of Honda BF90hp, the new fuel injected model, that has had a recurring fault for the past 6 months. The boat had done a tour of Honda Marine dealers across the UK to finally end up on our doorstep, and with some rational, logical thinking and some TLC, we think it is 99% there. A pair of Mercury Verado 200hp outboards had some work done to re-flash their ECUs in addition to a serious wiring tidy up on the boat - it was chaos under the console!! We also have our faithful friend 'Relentless' in the workshop for some further tidying work - it all helps keep the boys busy.
On another very frustrating note, we had a major IT crash in the office in March, resulting in our main office PC dying. Whilst we were able to recover all of our files from a backup, Outlook did not want to play ball and as a result we have lost everything from our Outlook account. It does mean we are trying to recover contacts from wherever we can - customers are fine, we know where all of you are, but suppliers and others, well, we may be in contact with you soon.
In the meantime, we have everything crossed that this cold weather breaks in the near future, for you as much as us - we just want the spring season to get started, and get some warmth on our faces. Happy boating everyone.
